Design your world. Then play it three ways.

Most map games give you a map. Taksim gives you a world builder.

Sketch which kingdoms border which, where the seas and mountains lie, and which lands form a continent. Taksim turns that sketch into a hand-drawn map where every border you planned is there, and none you didn't plan. Then fight over it.

Three games, one world

  • Conquest: turn-based war for 2–6 commanders, human or computer. Reinforce, attack and fortify, and hold whole continents for bonus troops.
  • Dice Chain: quick dice battles for up to 8 players. Each turn you earn dice for your largest connected chain of lands, so cutting a rival in two hurts.
  • Border Rush: real time, you against up to 5 computer rivals. Troops grow in your lands and march only to neighbouring lands, so the road you take decides the fight.

The world builder

  • Start your way: grow land around your sketch, draw your own islands, lay out a grid board, or roll a random island.
  • Shape the land: outline, brush and fill with land, water and mountains, and link coasts with sea lanes.
  • Generate: press Generate, and a constraint solver finds a map that matches your territory graph exactly.
  • Check the design: the map analysis shows chokepoints, loops, dead ends and the longest route, and how well your world suits each game.
  • Keep and share: save worlds, share them as a link, or export the graph as GraphML, JGF or DOT.
  • Or skip it: pick a ready-made world, including a stylised Earth with 37 lands and 7 continents.

Good to know

  • It runs entirely in your browser, with nothing to install and no account.
  • Your worlds stay in this browser unless you download or share them.
  • It plays best on a desktop browser. Phones work, but roughly for now.
  • Controls: mouse; scroll or pinch to zoom
